V.Ramkumar, J:_

1. In this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, the petitioner (Sri.Sukumaran Azhikode) seeks to quash Annexure 1 complaint and all proceedings against him in S.T. 269 of 2006 on the file of the judicial First Class Magistrate Court – IV Kozhikode. The said private complaint was filed by the 2^nd respondent herein (K.V. Joseph) alleging the offence of defamation under Sec. 499 I.P.C against the petitioner herein and punishable under Sec. 500 I.P.C.

2. The averments in the private complaint are as follows:-

The complainant is a senior criminal lawyer practicing mainly before the Calicut Courts. The first accused (Sri.Sukumar Azhikode) is a writer, orator, critic and cultural activist. The 2^nd accused (Smt.K.Ajitha) is known as a person interested in women related issues and is the leader of some feminist movement. The complainant was the Special Public Prosecutor in S.C. No. 124/02 pending before the Assistant session Court-II, Kozhikode. The said case is known as the "Ice cream Parlour Sex Racket Case". The complainant was considered and appointed as Special Public Prosecutor by the Government on the basis of his long term experience, integrity, honesty professional dedication etc, in the field. The complainant who is having 37 years of experience in the profession has never deviated from the professional ethics and principles in which he believes. The complainant has been the Government Pleader and Public Prosecutor for about 14 years both under the L.D.F. and U.D.F. Governments and was the District Government pleader and Public Prosecutor of Wayanad District for one year immediately after it's formation. He was the Special public Prosecutor in so many sensational cases including the sluice valve case, cases related to Marad rito incidents and Nadapuram riots. Most of the cases prosecuted by him ended in conviction. The complainant had also defended various sensational cases successfully. Many advocates who are now successful in the profession had practices under the complainant and some of them are now serving as judicial officers. The complainant who is coming from an agricultural family reached the pinnacle of his profession by his caliber, hard work and learning. The principles embodied in the procedural laws, the Evidence Act, the Indian Penal Code and the settle positions of law are the only criterion for the complainant while conducting cases, whoever maybe the parties involved in such cases. When the aforementioned "Ice Cream Parlour Sex Racket Case" became sensational and the subject of wide discussion in the media and among the general public, the government decided to appoint an experienced and competent Special Public Prosecutor to conduct the prosecution effectively and impartially. That is how the complainant came to be appointed in that post considering his integrity, seniority experience and reputation in the field. All the accused persons involved in that case were high profile personalities both in terms of money and political influence. Soon after the registration of the case as Crime no.282/97 of Nadakkavu Police Station, Calicut, it became a sensitive issue. There were allegations that so many prominent persons including the former Minister Sri.P.K.Kunhalikutty were suspected as accused in that case. There were agitations from various corners and various women organizations demanding the inclusion of Sri.P.K.Kunhalikutty in the array of accused. Ultimately, a final report was laid by the police against 16 accused persons after investigation and further investigation etc, as per orders of the Hon'ble High Court and the Apex Court. The agitations were continued even after the submission of the final report alleging that Sri.P.K.Kunhalikutty as purposefully deleted by the investigating agency. So many cases/petitions and public interest litigations were filed before various courts requesting for further investigation so as to include the above person in the array of accused. Most of the petitions wee filed by the 2^nd accused Smt.Ajitha who was the de facto complainant in the "Ice Cream Parlour Sex Racket Case". The duty of the judicial system and the prosecuting agency is to search for an find out the truth from the evidence collected ad placed before them. The primary duty of the Prosecutor is to help the court to find out the truth by enlightening the court in all aspects. The complainant believes that the judicial system and its various organs including the prosecuting agency should not be influenced by emotions, opinions and sensitivity of persons or organizations who have other vested interests in the subject. A special investigation team headed by a D.I.G. had conducted the investigation as per the direction of the Supreme court and the charge-sheet was filed before court against 16 accused persons who did not include Sri.P.K.Kunhalikutty. Even though the 2^nd accused Smt.Ajitha had filed several petitions and complaints alleging that Sri.Kunhalikutty was also involved in the case, the investigations conducted and the final report filed did not include his name. All these points were elaborately discussed in the judgment of the Division Bench of the Honourable High comprising of Chief Justice Subashan Reddy an justice Cyriac Joseph. But when the court-charge in the above case was read over to the accused by the Second assistant Sessions Judge, Kozhikode, the name of P.K.Kunhalikutty was included in the Court charge though his name did not figure in the police charge. In a case where a charge-sheet is submitted after repeated investigation and a final conclusion has been reached by the investigating agency, the prosecutor has no other alternative except to depend on the charge-sheet so submitted. But when there is a deviation in the court charge-sheet submitted before the court, it is needles to say that the prosecution case would be uprooted. Under these circumstances, the complainant in his capacity as the Public Prosecutor, had filed a report pointing out the irregularity in framing the charge. If the charge is defective, the trial itself wound be vitiated and the accused persons will get the advantage of the same. It was in this background that the complainant submitted a report to rectify the court charge so as to enforce the rule of law by way of fair trial. Unfortunately, certain persons and organizations, particularly, the one headed by the 2^nd accused Smt. K.Ajitha took the above report filed by the complainant in the wrong spirit and interpreted the conduct of the complainant according to their own whims and fancies. They started a propaganda that the complainant had tried to help some persons to escape from the court proceedings. This had caused severe mental agony for the complainant who was totally innocent and who never intended to help any person. Considering the peculiarity of the scenario especially since the assembly elections were round the corner the complainant ignored those foolish and baseless statements made by political leaders who were indulging in a political gimmick. Some of them took the matter to the hon'ble High Court Kerala and that resulted in the appointment of another Special Public Prosecutor and the transfer of the case to the Principal Assistant Session Court, Kozhikode. During the stage of evidence in the above Sessions Case, the important prosecution witnesses turned hostile to the prosecution. There were agitations on this issue also on the allegation that the witnesses turned hostile out of the pressure form outside agencies. All these attempts were to crucify somebody with a view to cover up those failures. The witnesses who turned hostile are ladies who were never brought out of the curtain. But the so called activists utilized this opportunity to harass some other persons to take advantage of their vested interest. On 8-1-2006 a meeting was held at Hotel Nalanda auditorium under the initiation of Smt.Ajitha. The fist accused Sri. Sukumar Azhikode also participated in the meeting. In the Madhyamam Daily dated 9-1-2006, to the dismay and surprise of the complainant he came across a news item published on the 2^nd page titled as in that news item the opinion and statements of several persons including political leaders and some social activists who had gathered there were given. The following report of the speech made by the first accused during the said meeting was shocking to the complainant:-

It is evident that the first accused was targeting the complainant by saying that he deserves such a treatment by the public. It is highly unbecoming for a person like the first accused to make such statements without knowing the real facts and legal implications behind the issues. The first accused who is a cultural leader, writer, orator and a person who actively involves himself in the social life in Kerala could have contacted the complainant and personally verified the various aspects of the issue. His statements made otherwise were heartbreaking for the complainant, particularly, since the complainant himself was a student of the first accused at St.Joseph College, Devagiri. The complainant has never flinched from the path of morality, integrity, honesty and sincerity. When people become older, they will attain more maturity and will approach the issues in a peaceful and clam manner. But the result was otherwise in the case of the first accused. By making the above statements, the first accused has instigated the members of the public and anti social elements to attack the complainant and thereby demoralize him. The words clearly shows the above intention. The accused are really trying to appease somebody for reasons known to them only. The 2^nd accused who claims to be a social activist espousing the cause of women had also propagated against the complainant by making defamatory statement to the effect that he had tried to uproot the "sex racket case" to help some persons. The public Statements made by both the accused in media and interviews will got to show that the baseless allegations made by them were only for defaming the complainant. The imputations made by the accused are sufficient to picturise the complainant as a person of low dignity, integrity and status. The imputations have affected the complainant in so many ways including his profession. People of different walks of life have started viewing the complainant as a person having no character, honesty or integrity. The complainant is getting telephone calls from anti-social elements threatening that he will be manhandled by them in view of the instigating statements made with immaturity by the accused persons. The complainant's clients have started evading him. His competitors in he profession are utilizing this opportunity as a weapon against him. His reputation has been lowered in the eye of the public. The complainant has been insulted. What he achieved by hard work for the last so many decades have been lost by the unexpected, immature and amputating statements of the accused. The damage suffered by the complaint is so extensive that it cannot be calculated in terms of money. The first accused by making the above public statement which is highly defamatory has accomplished his intention to ruin the career of the complainant who has 37 years of standing at the Bar. The family members of the complainant are mentally upset by the irresponsible and malicious acts of the accused. When the complainant contacted the authorities of the Madhyaman daily regarding the publication of the statement they had replied that they believed the statement to be true. They further stated that the continued propaganda made by 2^nd accused Smt.Ajitha made them believe those false allegations to be true. It is Smt.Ajitha who had arranged and instigated the first accused to make the defamatory statement given by the complainant and to publish the same as above. Since both the accused persons have acted in prosecution of the common intention and have conspired each other to defame the complainant taking the advantage out of a sensitive issue, the aforesaid acts amount to an offence punishable under Sec. 500 read with Sec. 34 I.P.C. The cause of action for his complaint arose on several dates and lastly on 9-1-2006 when the complainant happened to read the defamatory statement made by the accused in various newspapers including Madhyamam Daily at his house at Eranhipalam within the limits of Nadakkavu Police Station. Hence the complaint.

3. The learned Magistrate, after taking cognizance of the offence took the case on file as S.T. 269 of 2006. It is the said proceedings which are assailed in this petition under Sec. 482 Cr.P.C.

4. I heard Advocate Sri.Bechu Kurian Thomas, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner/1^st accused (Sri. Sukumar Azhicode) and Advocate Sri. V.K.Praveen, the learned counsel appearing for the 2^nd respondent/complainant.

5. Advocate Sri. Benchu Kurian Thomas, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner herein made the following submissions before me in support of this petition:-

Defamation can be of an individual or of a class. Prosecution for defamation can be initiated only by a person aggrieved by the offence in view of Section 199 Cr.P.C. in the case of defamation of an individual such individuals alone will be entitled to lodge the complaint. In the case of a class defamation any member of the class may be an aggrieved person. If a person were to make a statement that 20 per cent of the judges are corrupt or that all corrupt politicians should be hanged on the nearest lamppost, such statement cannot amount defamation. The petitioner never said that the Public Prosecutor in-charge of the Ice cream Parlour Sex Racket case is an abettor to treachery. Even assuming that the petitioner authorized the statement in question, the alleged imputations are really of a general character. Without such public vigil on such instrumentalities of the State it will be harmful for any society to sustain itself. A reading of Section 499 together with explanations 1 and 4 will indicate that the stress is on the reputation of the particular person, although Explanation 2 will show that there can be defamation against a company or an association or collection of persons. In Raman Namboodiri v. Govind – 1962 KLT 538 it has been held as follows:

"if the words complained of contain no reflection on a particular individuals or individuals, but may equally apply to others belonging to the same class, an action for defamation will not lie. The defamatory matter to be actionable must be such that it contains an imputation concerning some particular person or persons whose identity can be established. It is unnecessary that the person whose conduct is called in question should be described by name. It is sufficient if on the evidence it can be shown that the imputation was directed towards particular person or persons who can be identified".

Thus, if the imputation could not only fit in with the complainant but would equally fit in with some others also, there cannot be any charge of defamation. It cannot be gainsaid that Public Prosecutors should be persons of integrity and honesty. Why should the complainant consider himself to be a person lacking in integrity and honesty so as to nurture a feeling that the imputation was directed against him? In Asha Parekh and others v. State of Bihar and others – 1977 Crl.L.J. 21 pertaining to a cinematographic Hindi film by name "Nadaan", the portrayal of Advocates having no aptitude for the profession and who were oblivious of the nobility of the profession and who indulged in all kinds of under hand tricks for serving their personal ends, was held to contain no reflection upon a small and determinate body of advocates as a class so as to constitute the offence of defamation. It was further held that if the imputation could equally apply to others although belonging to the same class an action for defamation could not lie. At page 2415 of the Law of Crimes by Hari Singh Gour, there is the following passage:

"The words complained of must contain an imputation concerning some particular person or persons whose identity can be established. If the words complained of contain no reflection upon a particular individuals or individuals, but may equally apply to others although belonging to the same class, an action will not lie.

In K.M. Mathew and Others v. Balan – 1984 K.L.T. 893 it has been held that the words "Collection on of persons" contained in Explanation 2 to Section 499 I.P.C should postulate an identifiable and determinate group of persons. There the imputation was that the office bearers of the Government College Teachers' Association had pocketed the salary withheld by the Government. The General secretary of the Association contended that the said imputation had the character of attributing corruption to all the office bearers of the Association. The said contention was repelled by his Court. The petitioner herein who is now an octogenarian loved and respected by all does not deserve to undergo the ordeal of trial.

6. I am afraid that I am unable to agree with the above submission The legal propositions laid down in the decisions referred to by the petitioner's counsel are unassailable. But the question is whether those propositions have any application to the facts of the case.

7. In as much as the petitioner is not inclined to admit or deny the authorship of the statement contained in the Madhyamam Daily, the consideration of the question as to whether the imputations contained therein would amount to defamation is really academic. However, the petitioner having chosen to assail the proceedings before the court below on the footing hat even if those statements were made by the petitioner, they do not constitute defamation, this court has necessarily to go into that question.

8. The 2^nd respondent/complainant was admittedly the Special Public prosecutor in-charge of S.C. 124/02 on the file of the Addl. Assistant Sessions court – II, Kozhikode in which 16 persons were facing trial in the case popularly known as "the Ice Cream Parlour Sex Racket Case" for offences punishable under Sections 366, 109 and 341 I.P.C and Sections 5 a(ia), c and d of the immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956. This Court need not go into the controversy as to whether Sri.P.K.Kunhalikutty, the former minister was or was not liable to be proceeded against as an accused in that case or whether the court charge would be legal withhold reference to the name of Sri.Kunhalikutty. But the fact remains that he was not one of the persons charge – sheeted by the police and when the Addl. Assistant Session Judge proceeded to frame charge by mentioning the name of Sri.P.K.Kunhalikutty also, the complainant herein had intervened since according to the complainant if the name of a person whose complicity is not revealed by the prosecution records is made mention of in the court charge that would adversely affect the whole case. The above conduct of the complainant had created furore in various sections of the society. Several meetings were allegedly conducted to decry and denounce the conduct of the complainant as the Special Public Prosecutor. In W.P.C. 307176/05 and connected cases a learned single judge of this Court as per judgment dated 28-11-2005 directed removal of the complainant from the post of Special Public Prosecutor and also directed a transfer of the case from the file of the Addl. Asst. Session Court-II, Kozhikode to the principal Assistant sessions Court, Kozhikode. It was also clarified in the said judgment that the direction for removal of Special Public Prosecutor would not be a blot on the professional life of the complainant herein.

9. On 8-1-2006 a meeting was organized at Nalanda Auditorium at Kozhikode to evaluate the turn of events. Annexure A2 is the news item (with photographs) of the report of the meeting as published in the Madhyamam Daily dated 9-1-2006. The caption below the photograph itself will show that it was a meeting to stage an agitation for demanding an enquiry against the wholesale disloyalty shown by the prosecution witnesses in the Ice Cream Parlour Case. The caption below the photograph reads as follows:

The title of the news item is to the effect that none of the culprits and their abettors in the "Ice Cream Parlour Case" should got scot-free. The news item proceeds to state that the petitioner herein (Sri.Sukumar Azhikode) had opined that in the light of the disclosure by Rejina, the victim, the culprits have to be awarded the punishment prescribed by the holy Quran. It is, thereafter, that the statement in question attributed to the petitioner herein is to be found. An English translation of the said statement is as follows:

"Whatever be the verdict passed by the court, the accused person should be handed over to the people. The judicial system is such that the court should be like hunting dogs going after the scent of truth and bring to light the whole truth. But here the dogs, after taking the scent, go after something else in between. The Public Prosecutor who aided the treachery should not only be terminated from service but his hands and legs should be twisted and broken and taken to the hospital. When the pet dog bits back, any master will get shocked. Here the Government was not shocked because such dogs are maintained by the Government for biting back the people".

If the petitioner did make the above statement, then, the sentence which read "the Public Prosecutor who aided the treachery should not only be terminated from the service but his hands and legs should be twisted and broken and taken to the hospital" can obviously refer to the complainant only since the complainant was the only Special Public Prosecutor who was in-charge of the case and whose services were terminated. Any prudent or reasonable reader of the news item can easily understand that the reference in the statement was not to any class or indeterminate body of persons but tot the complainant and to the complainant only. Hence, the complainant is the aggrieved person within the meaning of section 199 Cr.P.C. A bare reading of paragraphs 5, 15, 19, 21, 22 and 26 of the complainant will show that the entire focus therein is on the petitioner/first accused.

10. In V.Subair v. Dr.P.K.Sudharkan – 1987 Crl.L.J. 736 = 1987 (1) KLT 291. It has been held that if the description and attendant circumstances suggest with fair certainty the identity of the person intended, that is sufficient to attract the offence and that Explanation 3 to Section 499 I.P.C. states that an imputation in the form of an alternative or expressed ironically may also amount to defamation and that defamation by innuendo is also well known. Again in M.N.Meera v. A.C. Mathew and another – 2002 Crl.L.J. 3845, the offending words read as follows:

"A retired supply officer of Taliparamba is the person behind this irregularity".

Referring to the said statement, the learned Judge observed as follows:

According to the petitioner he is the only retired Taluk Supply Officer of Taliparmba and the reference was obviously against him and his reputation is thereby harmed……………………………." "If the description and attendant circumstance suggest, with fair certainly, the identity of the person intended, that is sufficient to attract the offence. Explanation 3 to Section 499 states that a imputation in the form of an alternative or expressed ironically, may also amount to defamation. Defamation by innuendo also not unknown to law. It was, therefore, held that the reference need not be explicit and if the description is such that a reasonable person, in the context in which it is made, would be able to understand it as a reference to particular person, that would suffice".

11. Oratory ie. the art of speaking is a rare gift which only the glib tongued are endowed with. There are personalities of eminence who by the right choice of words, fluency, eloquence, diction, felicity of expression, style of delivery, gesticulations and gestures, contextual satires and apt anecdotes can hold a mammoth crowd speechless and spell-bound. Very often, the charisma of the speaker adds to the bewitching quality of the speech. The flourishes pompousness and rhetoric add flavour to the speech. There are among us persons who are so artless, wearisome, monotonous, disgusting, inarticulate and boring that the verbal constipation or diarrhea, as the case may be, which they suffer from on account of inexperience or imperfection or incompetence or prolixity or loquaciousness, it tormentingly unbearable, in contradistinction, here are among us, gifted souls who can, by spoken words, touch those sensitive areas within us as to produce grief, sorrow, compassion, courage, strength sense of safety, empathy, attraction, love, fear, anger hatred, jealousy, distrust etc. The power of speech is so potent that it can, if properly harnessed, be used for benevolent purposes and, if abused, be used for evil ends. Our nation has seen great speakers who by their fiery speeches could instill patriotism and spirit of revolution in the masses. Persons have become both famous as well as infamous through their volatile and captivating speeches.

The right to freedom of speech and expression is indeed a very valuable right which under Article 19(1)(a) of the Constitution of India has transcended to every citizen in the form of a fundamental right. Whether it is an oration or talk or discourse or lecture or elocution, it is all a manifestation of the exercise of the said right. But persons, howsoever high or low, who exercise this invaluable right should realize that it is not an absolute or limitless right. The framers of our Constitution have thought it fit to confer upon all citizens the said right, inter alia, subject to the law of contempt of Court, defamation or incitement to an offence. The law guards and protects the reputation of an individual as an inviolable right the infringement of which gives rise to an actionable claim.

13. There is a growing tendency to attribute motives to and denigrate persons who are holders of public office. Even where an impropriety or mistake on the part of a State functionary or departmental official is established there is a pernicious tenancy to generalize persons belonging to the particular class of functionaries or officials. Instances are not rare when the conduct of persons is made the subject matter of open criticism and denunciation without nay genuine attempt made to find out the complete facts. Authoritative and seemingly expert comments are very often passed without any investigation into the factual matrix. This is particularly, so in the matter of court proceedings. Without even witnessing what transpires before the court of justice and without ascertaining on what material or evidence a court of law arrives at a judicial conclusion, opinions are freely and liberally expressed by persons styling themselves as critics or jurists. Persons who indulge in such thoughtless and reckless exercise commit calumny either in the form of slander or in the form of libel. They do so without caring to ascertain the real facts and verify the actual truth and thereby run the risk of an action for defamation. It is no defence to contend that the statement was made as a scourge to cleanse the system or in the interest of the general public, if through that statement, the reputation of persons who are the participants of our public service system is maligned. The rank or position of the offender is hardly relevant. It is not necessary to prove that actual harm has been caused. It is sufficient to show that harm was intended o the complainant's reputation or that the accused person knew or had reason to believe that the imputations made by him would harm the complainant's reputation.

In the light of the foregoing discussion, I do not find any good reason to quash the proceedings before the Court below. Going by the averments in the complaint and the imputations in the statement allegedly made by the petitioner herein, there was sufficient ground for proceeding with the complaint justifying the cognizance taken and process issued by the Magistrate. This petition is accordingly dismissed permitting the continuance of the proceedings before the court below. In case the petitioner finds it difficult to attend the Magistrate's court due to any reasonable excuse, he can definitely invoke Section 317Cr.P.C. which clothes the Magistrate with sufficient power to dispense with the personal attendance of the petitioner.

On this Occassion of "26/11 Anniversary", UO shares its deep condolence to all the victims of 26/11. UO salutes those Brave Officers who laid down their lives fighting the terrorists and protecting Our Country.

Here is a brief outline of How the Whole tragedy happend...
STEP 1:
This is how the horror of terror resurfaced. On the night of Wednesday the 26th November, four gunmen entered the heritage hotel Taj Mahal Intercontinental from the east coast by boats and stationed themselves on the sixth floor. They created terror and panic by throwing hand grenades and started taking hostages- apparently all foreign nationals. As minutes passed, news spread that four gunmen had taken hostages even at The Trident Oberoi, another five star property facing the western coast. At a busy railway station – CST, Café Leopold, and Nariman House, gunmen started killing people. What looked initially like a gang war, eventually turned out to be a full fledged attack on the city that required the army, navy and National Security Guards to control the situation. Piecing the developments together as hostages and guests who survived came out we learnt that the gunmen who were heavily armed were demanding for foreign nationals with US, UK passports.

STEP 2:
Some guests recollected in horror that they saw the gunmen kill in cold blood. One survivor from Trident said, “I watched as one gunmen asked on the cellphone, “Should I kill?” Apparently the answer was yes as he started to fire. Every one ducked around under tables, behind walls and tried to get to the stairwells.” At Taj guests were safely evacuated to their other properties in the city. And this time they did not let out the identities of the guests. They were now on high alert.” The security in charge Sameer Angre at Taj Wellington mews said, “We have been concerned for the safety of our guests and now no one is being allowed.” At Taj President some of the guests were seen in the lobby sitting silently…just waiting to hear from their travel agencies to get their return tickets home.

STEP 3:
Outside these hotels, army men and National Security Guards and Mumbai police were still in charge, fully alert and awake even after a sixty hour ordeal. One army man who hails from the militancy ravaged state of Kashmir named Rakesh said, “All is now under control.” Operation Cyclone over he now wants to return home. He says, “We have not slept for a long time. We don’t know what day it is now.” An explosion goes off and an NSG braveheart is being led out with bleeding fingers for first aid. Elsewhere in an undisclosed location Jews are now looking after the two year old child of the Rabbi who had come from US to India. He and his wife were killed and their child was asking for maim (water) while the terrorists gunned down the entire Nariman House where Jews of the city live.

STEP 4:
In hospitals the scene is grimmer. A British lady Diane Murphy is lying in Jaslok Hospital while her husband is still in the ICCU in a critical condition. In JJ Hospital one German family has come tom identify the body of a male relative. A team of volunteers and embassy officials have helped load the four coffins being taken to Australia at the airport. One brave police officer Hemant Karkare’s funeral took place amid 21 gun salute. One encounter specialist’s last rites were performed day before yesterday. These are just some of the emotional stories that are unfolding in the aftermath of the cold killings.

Finally The Liberhan Commission Report is Out, Last day Indian Express published the extracts from Liberhan Commission Report. Nobody from the Central Govt. rejected the reports by media,nobody from the Central Govt questioned the credibility of the media reports, So it is crystal clear that Report Leakage is not an accident. And now Central Govt. tabled the Report in Parliament.

The Liberhan Commission was constituted on December 16, 1992 to probe the demolition of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya.Seventeen years later, on June 30, 2009, Justice Liberhan has submitted his report to the prime minister. After spending 17 years and 9 crores,What he brought out. As per the report says Commission figured out some Great buts from BJP,RSS and VHP as culprits on this issue, and the ATR(Action Taken Report) says nothing about the action against these Politicians or Terrorist Organizations those gave us the Shameful chapter in Indian History.

Babri Masjid–Ramjanambhoomi controversy dominated Indian politics for about a decade and became the main issue and it was so controversial and rooted in communal politics that it polarized Indian people along religious lines for the first time in post-independence India and since it was raised for riding to political power and BJP did rise to political power towards the end of nineties of the last century.

According to the extracts published in Indian Express the Liberhan Commission has indicted the top leadership of BJP and surprisingly Shri Vajpayee too.

The Commission, according to the Express report, is learnt to have said that despite claims to the contrary, the Ayodhya campaign did not enjoy the willing and voluntary support of the common masses, particularly Hindus. In fact, Liberhan is learnt to have said that demand for a temple never became a mass movement. The campaign only ended up silencing the voices of sanity and shaming them into joining the movement.

On the basis of evidence that includes witness statements and official records, one of the key conclusions of the Commission’s is said to be that the entire build up to the demolition was meticulously planned. And there was nothing to show that these leaders were unaware of what was going on or innocent of any wrongdoing. Mr. Advani had claimed that demolition was a ‘spontaneous’ event and that he was very sorry for that. He claimed he even wept for what happened.
It is learnt that Justice Liberhan has not come down heavily on the then Union Government headed by P V Narasimha Rao. Its argument: as per the Constitution, the Union Government can act only after it receives the recommendation of the state Governor. In this case, the Governor didn't do much and also didn't seek the Centre's intervention.

The markable point Commission outlined is "The Executive, Political Class and Bureaucracy took no effective measures to prevent the demolition or to arrest the perpetrators"

The funniest part of this report is The Congress party and Congress led then Govt and it's P M Narasimha Rao has been given Clean chit. Rao and Congress played an important role on not to stop Karsevaks from the shameful action, the all issue was started it self by congress men, from Javahar Lal Nehru through Rajiv Gandhi who is the main culprit i think on this issue, he was the person who allowed the Hindu Fascist to lay the idol inside the controversial building, then through Narasimha Rao Fascists Completed the process, whole the way we can see a silent support of Patel minded congress men on the Babri Masjid issue.

Everybody knows who the culprits are but what remains to be seen is what action the government and the judiciary will take against those who have been indicted, Every one Knows that nothing is going to happen, everything should end up on some nasty political gimmicks. After all still The main question remains, "What the hell this Commission was doing for 17years, and 9 crores, Here I got a Quote by Paul Sartre, he said " Everything Has been Figured out, Except How to Live" Paul didn't see this Man[Mr.Commission],am i right!

M T Vasudevan Nair is once again restructuring the scripts of the hits of the eighties ‘Neelathamara’ which featured Ravikumar, Ambika and Sathar, to suit to the changing times. MT is optimistic about the response of the people to a remake. “With advanced technology and new artists, the film will have its own merits,” he feels. This time the movie will be directed by the best narrator of our times, Lal Jose in his impeccable style. Featuring a bunch of new comers in the key roles, the movie will have four strong female protagonists in the lead.

While debutante Archana will come up as Kunjimalu, the hapless girl around whom the tale is woven, Rima Kallingal plays the role of Sharath Kochammini and Samvrutha Sunil, that of the new bride who comes into the house. Sreedevi is Maalu amma Kailash will appear as Haridas, the protagonist of the movie while. Suresh Nair, who is Ambika’s brother, plays the villain, the role that Sathar played in the original.

The story of the original movie revolved round happenings in a matter of six months. But for the remake, the film begins in 2009, turns to the happenings of 1979 before coming back to the present for an epilogue.

Director Lal Jose who is for the first time teaming up with M.T. is taking every measures to convert the movie into a master piece ‘I was fascinated by the script. It's a movie where love and lust have been addressed without prejudices, which obviously means that it came before the times when pseudo-morality became part of Malayalam cinema’ observes Lal Jose. The movie was shot at various locations at Pattambi, Malamakkavu, Chamravattom, Kuttipuram and Thavanur.

Produced by Menaka Suresh under the banner of Revathi Kalamandir, the remake has two songs and two keertanas. Vidyasagar has tuned the songs penned by Vayalar Sarath Chandra Varma. Vijay Ulakanath has done the cinematography while Renajan Abraham is in charge of editing. The others in the various technical departments include Art by Gokul Das, Costumes by Kukku Parameswaran and makeup by Sreejith Guruvayoor. I got a chance to watch the movie Freedom Writers recently, this is not a new film, film released in 2007. the story actually happening in US but as far as we Indians concerned we can relate most of the incidents in this movie with current Indian situation in the society or campuses, film describes the same hatred, intolerance, racism.
This film is Based on actual diary accounts of several teenagers following the L.A. riots, FREEDOM WRITERS is the story of an idealistic teacher's attempts to make a difference in the lives of her at-risk students. Located in gang-ravaged Long Beach, California, Woodrow Wilson High is a hotbed of violence due to a voluntary integration program which brings Black, Latino, Asian, and White students together. Rather than having the desired effect of creating healthy diversity, this program breeds constant war between all parties involved, the result being daily gun shots, constant racial slurs, and gang violence. Played largely by young unknowns, the freshman class in question is both naïve and wise beyond its years. While never having heard of the Holocaust, these kids are well-versed in the pain of poverty, the legal system, and death. Despite being up against unthinkable violence, devoted first-time teacher Erin Gruwell (Oscar winning Hillary Swank) never gives up, slowly bonding with her class of at-first unreachable pupils, breaking down their tough exteriors and getting at the real people beneath through requiring the students keep daily journals. Meanwhile, a strain is put on Erin's marriage as her student involvement gradually takes priority over her personal life. The intensity with which Erin relates to her work threatens her husband (Patrick Dempsey), who in seeing Erin's transformation, is reminded of his own stagnancy. Thanks to powerful performances by Hillary Swank, Imelda Staunton, and several newcomers.
I suggest everyone should watch this film- it will be a different experience to all as far as a regular Hollywood movie concerned.

Sexual scandals in church, involving nuns and children, have exploded throughout the world. India is one of the last countries to finally admit the truth about the goings-on in Indian churches.
The Indian church and Indian Christians loyal to the church are now doing the same – trying to blame the victims and trying to portray these victims as liars and wrong-doers, in order to stop them from speaking the truth. There are hundreds and hundreds of girls/women and children have been victims of sexual and physical abuse in church and church-run institutions. Many of them are scarred for life, unable to receive and tell their stories for fear of shame and threats from the church and other Christians loyal to the church.
During the past several years, the mass media in Kerala has been awash with reports of Catholic priestly pedophilia, sex abuse of nuns by the clergy, nun suicide, and Church cover-up. The politically powerful Christian Church won on diverting all investigations.Repeated media stories report accounts of both long-term and situational incidents of nuns being sexually abused by the clergy, murder of nuns, physical abuse of children in Christian management schools, sexual abuse of children in Bible Schools, ragging in colleges and violence against nuns.

The CBI investigation of the nun Abhaya murder trial, arrest of Catholic priests and supervisory nuns forced the public to confront sex abuse, murder, and the Church blame shift and cover-up. Nun Abhaya was murdered because she had witnessed priestly sex with her supervisory nuns and she spoke out against sex in the convent. Another nun Anupama had committed suicide allegedly unable to face sexual harassment by senior nuns. Another senior nun Jesme has written in detail in her autobiography about brutal, inhuman sex abuse by priests and nuns. She has reported experiences with sex abuse, attempted or actual rape, assault or violence.

Here is some words From Amen – an autobiography of a nun by Sister Jesmi::
”At a retreat for novices, I noticed girls in my batch were unsettled about going to the confession chamber. I found that the priest there asked each girl if he could kiss them. I gathered courage and went in. He repeated the question. When I opposed, he quoted from the Bible which spoke of divine kisses.”
”I was sent to teach plus-two students in St Maria College. There, a new sister joined to teach Malayalam; she was a lesbian. When she tried to corner me, I had no way but to succumb to her wishes. She would come to my bed in the night and do lewd acts and I could not stop her,” she has written in her book, Amen – an Autobiography of a Nun.
Citing another incident of sexual trauma that she had to face, Sister Jesme says that it happened when she had gone to Bangalore for a refresher course. She writes, ”I was told to stay at the office of a priest respected for his strong moral side. But when I reached the station, he was waiting there and hugged me tight on arrival. Later in the day, he took me to Lalbagh (a garden) and showed me cupid-struck couples and tried to convince me about the need for physical love. He also narrated stories of illicit relations between priests and nun to me. Back in his room, he tried to fondle me and when I resisted, got up and asked angrily if I had seen a man. When I said no, he stripped himself, ejaculated and forced me to strip.”
“The mental torture was unbearable. When I questioned the church’s stand on self-financing colleges and certain other issues, they accused me of having mental problems. They have even sent me to a psychiatrist. There are many nuns undergoing ill-treatment from the order, but they are afraid of challenging it. The church is a formidable fortress,” she adds.
. “When a woman is molested, sexually harassed, will she speak out? Only one out of a thousand will speak out. So think of nuns! They will never speak out. They fear that their nun-hood will be lost,” said Sister Jesme.
A suicide note that accused another nun of sexual harassment::
On August 11, 2008, Sister Anupa Mary committed suicide in St. Mary’s convent, in Kollam. She left a suicide note that accused a senior nun, in the convent, of sexual harassment.
And two orphans try to kill themselves..
On August 26, 2008, two girls living in the Nithya Sahaya Matha Balika Mandiram, an orphanage for girls, tried to commit suicide. The orphanage is part of the Holy Cross order in which Sister Anupa was ordained. The two girls who had consumed poison and were admitted in a hospital run by the church gave a rather garbled explanation. They said that an apprentice priest Benedict spoke to them in a humiliating tone when he was counselling them and also told them that he had come to know that they were not good girls. Another girl who was also present at the counselling session told the Kerala State Women’s Commission the priest had only blessed them by putting his hands over their heads and told them to be good girls.
Six months later, on February 11, 2009, Sister Josephine who lived in the The Daughters of Mary convent, in the Syro-Malankara archdiocese in Thiruvananthapuram, committed suicide. It was alleged that it was abuse at the hands of other nuns that forced Sister Josephine to take her own life. Unsurprisingly, a press release from the archdiocese said that Sister Josephine was being treated for depression.

Under-age sexual exploitation::
Going back a few years, in 1995, a parish priest in the Changanacherry archdiocese, allegedly entered into a two-year sexual relationship with a 15-year old school girl who gave birth to his child in1998. A case of rape and abduction was registered against the priest.
Another murder, and another nun who spoke out::
In 1998, a nun from the Sacred Heart Convent in Kozhikode district was murdered. Kerala Police had said that they suspected a sexual motive behind the murder.
In October 2008, a 60-year-old nun belonging to the Congregation of Daughters of Mary Convent, Anchal, alleged that young nuns from the convents were being forced to have abortions and that priest and nuns were having “limitless” affairs. She further alleged that a nun Serenna Jacob has committed suicide because she could not handle the trauma. The nun is now in a mental hospital in Thodupuzha. Her nephew has alleged that she has been forcibly admitted to the hospital by the Convent authorities.

Interestingly,as part of the recent so called Love Jihad Campaign The Kerala Catholic Bishops Council has issued guidelines on how to protect catholic girls from the menace, by asking parents and authorities of school and colleges to keep a close watch on the activities of the children and to discourage them from over-use of mobile phones and Internet. I think All christian parents should remember these guide lines when you send your girls or under aged boys to churches or seminaries or convents more than they are in colleges/schools. A number of reports have confirmed that thousands of nuns worldwide cannot keep their vows of chastity because they are raped or coerced into having sex by priests or bishops.
The Vatican statement was prompted by a report in the Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica about the scandal::
A number of reports written by senior members of women’s religious orders have also confirmed that the sexual abuse of nuns by priests is a serious and prevalent problem.
In the 1990s Sister Maura O’Donohue a medical doctor, briefed Cardinal Eduardo Matinerz, prefect of the Vatican Congregation for religious life on a report she had written while she was the AIDS co-ordinator for the Catholic Fund for Overseas Development based in London.
In her report, quoted in the Catholic National Reporter, O’Donohue said the sexual abuse of nuns by priests had been documented in 23 countries, including Zimbabwe. The rest are Botswana, Burundi, Brazil, Colombia, Ghana, India, Ireland, Italy, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, South Africa, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Tonga, Uganda, United States, Zambia and Zaire.
O’ Donohue said she initially reacted with “shock and disbelief” at the magnitude of the problem.
“For example”, she said, “a superior of a community of sisters in one country was approached by priests requesting that sisters be made available to them for sexual favours”.
She said in some instances, some priests even advised sisters to take contraceptives, misleading them into believing that the pill prevented the transmission of HIV....hallelujah...
Some Catholic medical professionals have complained of being pressured by priests to procure abortions for religious sisters impregnated by clerics.
In a similar report compiled in 1998, Sister Marie McDonald said that priests sometimes exploited the financial dependency of young sisters or took advantage of spiritual direction and the sacrament of reconciliation to extort sexual favours.
The priests could also use false theological arguments to justify their behaviour, such as, “We are both consecrated celibates. That means we have promised not to marry. However, we can have sex together without breaking our vows”.

During the past some days our medias have been celebrating the Love Jihad attack in and out of Kerala. Till date it has not been proven that there is something like Love Jihad. The issue was there by Sanghparivar for years, but it had not got much mileage because everybody knows Sanghparivar agenda. This time The whole issue started with a Pamphlet issued by KCBC (Kerala Catholic Bishops Council) against Love Jihad. The yellow paper shows the hidden agenda of this radical group against one particular religion. Why KCBC took over this issue from Sangparivar? Do they have any right to speak about Conversion? Do they have any right to speak about terrorism?, we really have to think about these questions.

This post is completely about the above said radical group's attitude towards other communities and non-christian countries. I do have a lot of christian friends,I don't want to hurt any ones belief or faith,but on the basis of this radical christian group's hidden agenda i have got a chance to google about their present and past. Whatever I got, whatever I think is true I am posting here.

I don't want to write much about Malayalam Cine actor Prithviraj here, All I want to share is clear in the interview given below.The video is from the programme Nere Chovve-on MANORAMA NEWS. The actor is famous for his haughty and outspoken character in the Cine world.You might have watched many interviews of great actors like Amitab Bachan, Mohan Lal, Kamal Hasan,... none of those interviews gave us a negative impression on them. But whenever we watch or read any interviews with this guy you will be frustrated. i am damn sure about that. Most of my friends are sharing the same view.

A Brief Biography::

Prithviraj was born on Oct.16, 1983 as the younger son of late actor Sukumaran and actress Mallika. His older brother Indrajith and sister-in-law Poornima are also actors. After completing his school education from Sainik School and Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan School in Thiruvananthapuram, he earned a degree in IT and later studied engineering in Australia, before entering the tinsel world. Arrogant, haughty and egotistic? these are the appreciation words he has been getting through out his career . why?

Prithviraj is not the savior of Malayalam cinema as he is portrayed by some not many of his fans. If he is, then God help us. I have not seen most of his filims, but I have seen Classmates, Swapnakoodu, and Nandanam. His dialogue delivery is disgusting. He does not speak Malayalam well, he does not know how to romance, dance and humor,it will be better to say nothing about those area. His brother Indrajit is far better in every way (watch Mullavalliyum Thenmavum and Classmates).

Considering the number of movies he acted in, there are only 3 movies in which he has shown his acting talent. (Akale, Swapnakoodu & Classmates). Ammakilikoodu was one of the disasters in Malayalam cinema. Its one movie which could have been a classic if it was in the good hands of a talented director and a talented Actor.

The land of lovely palm-fringed beaches, dense palm groves and plantations, winding canals and rippling backwaters. Kerala occupies just less than 40,000 square kilometers of land, curving along the Arabian Sea on the south coast of India. It is a thin strip of land and is blessed with an unending stretch of greenery. Packed into this small crescent of land are beaches, jungles, mountains, backwaters and some of the most romantic natural resources of the world .A rail, bus or car journey along Kerala coast takes one through sheets of tender green paddy fields, cardamom groves and slopping plantations of tea and tapioca. Kerala’s cardamom, pepper and spices, her teak, rosewood, and ebony have brought the world to her shores since the time of King Solomon and since before the beginning of the Christian era.

The rolling high ranges of Western Ghats seal off the eastern edge of the state, and this wall separates Kerala from rest of India. The Western Ghats, with their dense tropical forests, misty peaks, extensive ridges and ravines, have sheltered Kerala from mainland invaders and encouraged maritime contact with the outside world. People have been sailing to Kerala in search of spices, sandalwood and ivory for at least 2000 years.

Kerala is a very easy place to simply sit back and enjoy. The name means "land of coconuts" and the palms shade nearly the entire state from the tropical sun; many call the beach at Kovalam the best in India, tranquil stretches of emerald backwaters, lush hill stations and exotic wildlife, Ayurvedic health resorts, enchanting art forms, magical festivals, historic and cultural monuments, an exotic cuisine… all of which offer you a unique experience, and what’s more, every one of these charming destinations is only a two hours drive from the other.

Kerala, which came into being in the year 1956, comprises erstwhile Travancore- Cochin and the Malabar Coast districts of the ten Madras state. Scientists believe that the landmass of Kerala emerged from the sea due to geological cataclysm that occurred in the area. But it is doubtful whether this process happened at one go. Evidence suggests that the Kuttanad region and parts of central and north Kerala were submerged under the sea till two thousand years ago. Kerala is divided into three geographical regions: (1) High lands, (2) Midlands and (3) Lowlands.

The Highlands slope down from the Western Ghats which rise to an average height of 900 m, with a number of peaks well over 1,800 m in height. This is the area of major plantations like tea, coffee, rubber, cardamom and other spices. The Midlands, lying between the mountains and the lowlands, is made up of undulating hills and valleys. The midlands are the most thickly populated area of the state and consist of secondary ranges and plane areas. This is an area of intensive cultivation. Cashew, coconut, areca nut, cassava (tapioca), banana, rice, ginger, pepper, sugarcane and vegetables of myriad varieties are grown in this area. The Lowlands or the coastal area, made up of river deltas, backwaters and the Arabian coast, is essentially a land of coconuts and rice. The lowlands include the 560 kms long coastal area dotted with exotic beaches, some of them of international repute. Fisheries and coir industry constitute the major industries of this area. Kuttanad, the granary of Kerala, where the cultivation is done below the sea level is also part of coastal areas.

Kerala is a land of rivers and backwaters. 41-west flowing and 3 east-flowing rivers that form the lifelines of Kerala originate from the highlands of Western Ghats.

Kerala is a purified world, the land of trees. A big, spreading tree purifies as much air as a room air-conditioner. And the former is never switched off. The prolific, bustling, vegetation acts like a massive, biological, air-filtration plant working round the clock, round the year. Hence spending days in Kerala countryside is as if spending in an air- purified environment; some times better than it. So is the rejuvenating effect of the lush greenery of the state. The wanton growth of trees makes Kerala a herbarium. The four month-long, copious monsoon and recurrent flurry make this land a perfect nursery for all living beings. Loitering under the canopy of the foliage, you will feel blossoming the dreams. Thus, on a sojourn in Kerala, away from the rough and tumble of cities, you're breathing freshly purified air all the time.

The Hindus form the majority (more than 50%), followed by the Muslims (25%) and Christians of many denominations (Syrian Christians and Latin Catholics), form around 23% of the population. Kerala is politically highly evolved. A Congress led United Democratic Front government now rules Kerala. The main opposition party, the Communist led Left Democratic Front, is at the other end of the political spectrum. This two-party system has ensured some degree of political stability to this state.

Recently I have got some pictures that was very interesting. You know why, that all images were about beggers they are using some interesting methods to attract the crowd. So i decided to share some interesting happenings about this "Begging Art". plz dont misunderstand me i'm not.ok

Let's see the definition of begging first [by beggers association in US]::
"Begging is a method by which one can procure the funds necessary to sustain one's self virtually indefinitely, at almost no personal cost, except humiliation."---hey how is the defininition cool ha...
The art of begging is not a new one, but one which has been practiced for many a year, by many a once poor, (or even once rich) and currently extremely prosperous soul. Many a Beggar have found within begging the means to obtain houses otherwise unavailable to their childhood friends who decided to choose the unfortunately straight path in life, and actually work for their income. These suckers live in the trash neighborhoods, while the Beggars are able to afford mansions in the plush, inner-city playgrounds of the rich.
In most of our cities especially bus stations and train as a method of begging these guys distribute pamphlets and a short speech, that may be his/her sad past or presnt or else some interesin/funny story.This pamphlet begging would give him/her much income.

Savitri Jindal, 58, who is the chairperson of the Jindal Group, has been named as the richest woman in India in the last Forbes list of richest Indians. Jindal was the minister of state in the last Hooda government in Haryana looking after revenue, disaster management, consolidation, and rehabilitation and housing ministries.

According to Forbes, Savitri Jindal has a net worth of US$2.9 billion, and is ranked 12th overall among the top-40 richest Indians who include the likes of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, expatriate steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal, Reliance-ADAG chairman Anil Ambani and realty baron KP Singh.The only other woman to figure in the list is Times of India Group's chairperson Indu Jain (17th).

The Interesting thing is She is said to be India's richest woman. But Congress nominee from Hisar assembly seat, Savitri Jindal, does not own a car.

For the last some days our newspapers and news channels are running back on Love Jihad. It is nothing but another experiment by Sang Parivar to get a break to their nasty ideology in the highly literate Kerala Society. And some Sanghi minded medias like Kerala Kaumudi, Surya TV are giving extra coverage to this conspiracy to devide Kerala on the basis of community.

Love inside and outside the campus irrespective of religion, and subsequent inter-religious marriages are nothing new, especially in Kerala, where there is more mingling between communities and less or no ghettoising of particular religious groups. In most cases, there have been initial tensions in the families, obviously due to inability of the parents to cope with the fact, given the social and religious realities. Conversion is in fact a painful experience for the families involved. However, there are thousands of mixed families in Kerala and elsewhere who have survived these initial obstacles and keep living, in some cases even in the same villages as of their families. And we can see a lot of Muslim girls are living with Hindu or Christian boyfriends and we never see any such a large Hue and Cry over the issue. But what happened now?

The police force doing an extensive search, investigating in detail, found nothing yet to prove anything that says Love Jihad is there or any organization they are financing or supporting them.If there is anything like Love Jihad it should be banned and whoever behind that Should be punished, and there is no doubt on that they are spoiling the name Islam.As a Muslim I can say 100%sure about there is no conversion to Islam until and unless one who learn and understand Islam.

The entire ‘Love-Jihad’ episode has underlined the ability of Sangh Parivar to spread a lie as truth and utilize it for fomenting communal violence. It is surprising that Christian leaders started speaking in the tongue of Sang Parivar, we all know how these Christian lobby trying to convert poor Aadivasis and fishing community to Christianity. So you don’t have any right to speak about this issue even it is a fact, so please shut your mouth dear bishops andself finance fathers. The very new star on the stage about Love Jihad is His highness Sir Vellapalli Nadeshan. According to his knowledge there is a lot of Sreenarayaneeya families , they have faced Love Jihadi's Attack. Shame on You man. Well, hope this big butt will give evidence about these Terrible Love Jihadis to Police and India will be free from this New type of Terrorism.

Nadapuram- the truth!

On the basis of last Nadapuram incident I have been compelled to google about the CPI(M) attitude towards the Minorities especially Muslims. It's true, I had a soft corner towards Left,now I can't say because now a days it become difficult to differentiate between Left and right ideologies on issues like minorities, development, environmental issues and a lot more. keeping that in mind,Are they really in favour of minorities? I personally believe that No, Whenever minorities are in trouble the left leaders and especially CPI(m) came forward to help in the Center, that’s true, but when we think about these guys in their Party villages or where they have strong hold what is their attitude? Same as in center or any change?

As a native I have seen a lot of atrocities by CPI(M) party men against muslims here in and around Nadapuram from coconut plucker to senior party leaders. They are carrying an attitude that have forced many to leave their residence and lands. Do you know why BJP or Sang Parivar don’t have a hold in this region? I personally feel These CPI(M) activists are doing better job here than Sangh parivar doing any where else in the country, Especially The A Kanaran (A famous Comrade from Nadapuram of CPI(M))Style communism. Nadapuram in Kozhicode district borders with neighbouring Kannur district, the focal centre of unabated CPM violence for the past 15 years. Justifying its role in Kannur violence, the CPM used to claim that they were protecting the Muslim minorities from Sangh Parivar fascist threat. However, the CPM-RSS violence in Kannur was limited to only murders and retaliatory killings with either side refraining from attacking houses, looting, arson, and raping women. Nadapuram, on the other hand, had witnessed all these. That majority of the victims in Nadapuram were Muslims irrespective of party affiliations, and all the major culprits were Hindus belonging to CPM and DYFI itself paints an altogether different picture unknown in Kerala. Although majority of the Muslim victims were sympathizers of Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), the fact that Muslims supporting even CPM and other LDF parties like Janata Dal and NCP were not spared from attacks speaks volumes of the blind anti-Muslim psyche deep-rootedly erected among the CPM rank and file in and around Nadapuram area.[Mukundan C Menon article on Milli Gazatte].

And, this has its own history. Traditionally, leading Muslims in Nadapuram were landlords supporting IUML while the labourers were mostly backward Thiyyas who aligned with CPM and CPI. The class animosity projected by CPM had, therefore, been always directed against individual Muslim landlords. CPM’s taking lead role to oppose the introduction of Muslim Personal Law in mid-1980s had sharpened the Hindu-Muslim divide in Nadapuram between CPM and IUML. Nadapuram also witnessed prolonged agitations by CPM, including indefinite sit-in agitations in front of Muslim houses, in the name of seeking alimony to estranged wives of some individual Muslims in the area. Demands of CPM controlled-labour wing on behalf of coconut pluckers also led to disputes with individual Muslim landlords. Because of the Gulf boom, practically every house in Nadapuram has somebody working in Middle-East, which kept-up their financial resources.

On the other hand, because of the recent recession in agriculture and declined price of coconuts, the labourers were not getting enough work and wages. This economic recession had adversely affected the local CPM coffins. It spells the motivation for the widespread looting during the violence. Since male members are mostly away, most of the houses have only women, children or old-aged persons to guard their wealth and property. Evidently, the attackers utilised this vulnerability to their maximum advantage to indulge in atrocities ranging from looting to rape. And these incidents should be an eye opener to the central leaders of these political parties and also those muslim organizations they are giving blind support to these parties in elections.

Last day we have seen in Nadapuram some unfortunate incidents, you might be aware of that,as a native i am sorry about that, again as media describes The Kerala Police's stand on this incident is really shocking. Whatever it may be the politics behind the issue we dont want to bother about that. Let's dig it...................
Indian Express says::"The rally was organised in protest against the arrest of Muslim Youth League worker Theyyambadi Ismail under the Goonda Act. Around 2,000 IUML activists took out the march that began from Nadapuram on Monday evening. The police said the IUML workers at the tail end of the rally started throwing stones at them when the rally reached the venue of the public meeting at Kallachi. The police burst grenades and resorted to lathicharge to disperse the crowd."
Surely, if something happens like this police should do as possible as they can, we have to support them.But shockingly our Police men helped the looters and criminals to do their works in the town. This is shocking. Last day a TV channel telecasted the images of a police official and his team standing besides the criminals as helping them.
This is not the first time the Kerala Police facing the allegation like this, You might remember Cheriyathura Police firing on May 17 this year, Media says "Kerala police opened fire to end a clash between two groups in the Cheriyathura-Beemapally coastal area on the outskirts of the Thiruvananthapuram city on Sunday evening ( May 17, 2009).But locals alleged that police fired at the crowd without warning. Police should have been able to use tear gas or rubber bullet to disperse the crowd. But the police fired at throat and chest of the dead and even by chasing the crowd from behind". When some thing like these political clashes or communal clashes happens police should act to restore the peace and security of the common man, who dont have any politics or any party support, who loves peace and communal harmony. Surely all the locals will support them. More shockingly these incidents are happening in Kerala When a Left Front government is ruling the state!!!!!

What was the issue? Congress leaders and Youth leaders says Police officer Insulted RahulJi, How? Answer: media describes "Kozhikode (Kerala), Oct 8 (IANS) A Kerala
police officer is facing an inquiry for asking about Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi’s location on the police wireless by referring to him as a ‘changadi’ (friend).According to reports, Assistant Commissioner of Police Pradeep Kumar at 9.40 p.m. Wednesday said on the wireless: ‘Aa changathiyude location evidya? (Where is that friend?)’ " .
Now friends can you guys see anything wrong in the above statement? Is the Malayalam word chengathi(friend) insulting? No ha but our congress leaders are on the ground against This ACP. We are not going in depth whether ACP can use this like words through his Wireless set or not?. But the thing is Whether a person can Call this Holy **** sorry this Star Kid Changadi(friend) or not. Now Plz tell me Our Holy Congress leaders, how we want to call you guys, Expecting a circular about How people want to call You for our safety.
Now Let's just dig the issue, we can read in newspapers like this "Gandhi, who was touring Kerala, returned to his guesthouse at 8.30 pm after his appointments in Kozhikode. The policemen accompanying him assumed their VIP duty was over and were headed home. They were asked to return to work after Gandhi decided to explore the city and
dine at a local restaurant. And so Assistant Commissioner Pradeep Kumar asked, in Malayalam, "Where do we find the VIP now and doesn't he have any better work?" As a common man I understand For Rahul, 'I don't know can i call him like this or not?' as a VIP he has tight security and Fixed programmes because of security issue, then also He broke the security ring on occasions causing anxious moments for the officials, Mr Gandi just think all cops have families to look after they cant guard all you politicians 24/7, Some planing has to be there. At this type of a situation a official speaks to his colleague like this is not that much big sin. and moreover Whoever holy for you congress men that is only for you not for the whole public.

Is Rahulji is the only One in congress to be glorified, no way? I am not criticizing only the Congress party or it party men, In all Political parties we can find these like Holy cows, When an issue like

Country hails braveheart Rukhsana

The incident in brief
On Tuesday, September 29, 2009:
A braveheart girl in Jammu fought six terrorists with a gun in her hand and finally killed one, boosting the morale of the thousands of people in the Valley and giving them courage to stand up against terror attacks. The 20-year-old Rukhsana Kausar fought the terrorists with bare hand, snatched the AK-47 rifle from one terrorist, killed one and injured others. Bravo! The incident occurred in the Rajouri district of Jammu & Kashmir.

Rukhsana was so fierce in her battle against the militants that they just ran for cover and fled to the forest, saving their lives from this braveheart girl. Rukhsana proudly showed the AK-47 rifle, snatched from the militant and narrated her heroics, which will become inspiration for millions of men and women in the country.

Rukhsana was helped by his younger brother in her fight against the terrorist. But it was she, who was in charge and took the lead. She was earlier trained by the village defence committee on firing a Kalashnikov assault rifle.

The six suspected LeT terrorists barged into her home on Sunday night and asked the family to hand Rukhsana over to them. When Rukhsana's parents refused, the militants started beating them up. At that time, Rukhsana's brother attacked the terrorists with an axe.

Without wasting time, Rukhsana jumped into the middle and snatched the gun from a terrorist. She and the terrorist engaged in a dual combat. Rukhsana was strong enough to drag the terrorist by hair and pushed him into the wall. She hit him hard with the butt of the gun and then fired several times, killing him on the spot. She also fired at another terrorist, who was fleeing.

The security personnel reached the spot only when the fight was over. The dead militant was identified as Uzafa Shah, a Pakistani national. He is said to be a LeT commander.
There is no doubt that Rukhsana Kausar has made the country and women proud with her bravery, power and guts.

KERALA To be first 100% e-Literate state in India

Coming November, all villages in Kerala will have access to high-speed internet access, making it India's first state with broadband (defined as 256 kpbs and above) connectivity in every village.

Kerala has about 1,400 villages and 999 panchayats, and this initiative is expected to provide a major boost to the Akshaya scheme - the flagship information, communication and technology (ICT) initiative being undertaken by the state government - to make the state 100 per cent e-literate.

The Kerala government started a campaign to connect the unconnected areas of the state last year. As of now, the government claims to have provided broadband connections in all except nine villages where it feels it is not feasible to provide connection because of geographic location.

When the campaign was launched last year, all except 175 villages had broadband connection. The state government provided speedy clearance and provided land to set up telecom towers to expedite the process. As of now, only nine villages, in the most inaccessible areas, left to be connected. The government plans to announce its achievement, of being the first state to have 100 per cent broadband connectivity.

The Akshaya scheme, launched earlier by Kerala to make at least one member in each household computer literate, has so far covered all 999 panchayats in the state. About 2,200 Akshaya centres (similar to the Central government's proposed citizens' service centres) today conducts computer literacy programme in Kerala villages other than proving various citizen-centric services like payment of electricity bills, phone bills and disseminating information about various micro finance schemes.

Some of the center’s having broadband connectivity also provide services like eFiling of income tax returns, getting online applications of the public services examination and getting applications forms for various purposes from the websites of the state government.

This goes without a doubt that Kerala is fast becoming the first 100% e-literate state in the entire country, which although is something to be really proud of, but also for other states to look deeper into.

Now a Days low waist Jeans or Hanging pants are becoming more popular among a part of the youth, Be frank..This is the ugliest fashion i have ever seen. trustme. I dont know how this become this much popular among our youth. showing undergarment othewise their Ass holes publically... this is utterly shameful.
For both men and women, the low-rise pant is an ultimate dis-ass-ter. I’m pretty sure learning to dress yourself includes pulling pants up to an appropriate level in every household. If not, take a hint from 90% of the population on this one: underwear are meant to be worn under the clothes you wear. Hence their name.
There are a group of people who believe that, especially for men, these low riding jeans are part of a broader fashion movement in the hip-hop community. While I still don’t find the uber-baggy pant flattering to anyone, there is a difference between Jay-Z’s loose pants and your average teenage boy cruising down the street with his belt practically around his knees. There is also a time and place for everything. A hip-hop star tends to dress a little differently in his or her videos as opposed to professional attire worn during public appearances or meetings. Call me crazy, but I would bet that none of these droopy pant-ed kids are heading to film sets or magazines shoots!

Santa and Banta driving on a street,in different directions. Out of some unfortunate mishap, the cars slammed into each other, head-on. They were able to get out of their cars without any serious injury, but the cars were totaled.

At the White House, George W. spots Santa on the tour and motions him and his boss over, saying, "Santa, what a surprise, I was just on my way to a meeting, but you and your friend come on in and lets have a cup of coffee first and catch up."
Well, the boss is very shaken by now, but still not totally convinced. After they leave the White house grounds, he expresses his doubts to Santa, who again implores him to name anyone else. "The Pope," his boss replies.
"Sure!" says Santa. "My folks are from Poland, and Ive known the Pope a long time."
So off they fly to Rome. Santa and his boss are assembled with the masses in Vatican Square when Santa says, "This will never work. I cant catch the Popes eye among all these people. Tell you what, I know all the guards so let me just go upstairs and Ill come out on the balcony with the Pope."
And Santa disappears into the crowd headed toward the Vatican. Sure enough, half an hour later Santa emerges with the Pope on the balcony.
By the time Santa returns, he finds that his boss has had a heart attack and is surrounded by paramedics.
Working his way to his boss side, Santa asks, "What happened?"
His boss looks up and says, "I was doing fine until you and the Pope came out on the balcony and the man next to me said, "Whos that on the balcony with Santa Singh?"

Holy Quran :The Final Revealed Text from God

The Holy Quran (also written as Koran) is the eternal and literal word of God. Prophet Muhammad ( an Arab and a descendant of Abraham) received these divine revelations (The Holy Quran) over a period of 23 years in the seventh century of the Common Era (C.E.). Each revelation was written down by the Prophet's scribes according to the Prophet's instructions. The current order and organization into the 114 chapters (surahs) of the entire revelations were therefore given to us by the Prophet himself.

The Quran has been translated into every major language. The English translations by Abdullah Yusuf Ali and Muhammad Pickthall are two popular translations. Maulana Maududi's translation and commentary on the Qur'an "The Meaning of the Qur'an" ranks as one of the best such works in existence today. Unlike many early translators, Syed Maududi uses the standard technique of providing an explanation of the Qur'anic verses from the Sunnah of the Prophet including the historical reasons behind the verses.

Calling the Quran amazing is not something done only by Muslims, who have an appreciation for the book and who are pleased with it; it has been labeled amazing by non-Muslims as well. In fact, even people who hate Islam very much have still called it amazing. One thing which surprises non-muslims who are examining the book very closely is that the Qur'an does not appear to them to be what they expected. What they assume is that they have an old book which came fourteen centuries ago from the Arabian desert; and they expect that the book should look something like that - an old book from the desert. And then they find out that it does not resemble what they expected at all. Additionally, one of the first things that some people assume is that because it is an old book which comes from the desert, it should talk about the desert. Well the Qur'an does talk about the desert - some of its imagery describes the desert; but it also talks about the sea - what it's like to be in a storm on the sea.

The Bhagavad Gita ("Song of God") is one of the most important Hindu scriptures. It is revered as a sacred scripture of Hinduism, and considered as one of the most important philosophical classics of the world. The Bhagavad Gita comprises 700 verses, and is a part of the Mahabharata.
The content of the Gita is the conversation between Krishna and Arjuna taking place on the battlefield before the start of theKurukshetra War. Responding to Arjuna's confusion and moral dilemma, Krishna explains to Arjuna his duties as a warrior and prince and elaborates on different Yogic and Vedantic philosophies, with examples and analogies. This has led to the Gita often being described as a concise guide to Hindu philosophy and also as a practical, self-contained guide to life
The discourse on the Bhagavad Gita begins before the start of the climactic battle at Kurukshetra. It begins with the Pandava prince Arjuna, as he becomes filled with doubt on the battlefield. Realizing that his enemies are his own relatives, beloved friends, and revered teachers, he turns to his charioteer and guide, Krishna, for advice.
In summary the main philosophical subject matter of the Bhagavad-gita is the explanation of five basic concepts or "truths":
Ishvara (The Supreme Controller)
Jiva (Living beings/the soul)
Prakrti (Matter)
Dharma(Duty)
Kaala(Time)
Mahatma Gandhi writes, "The object of the Gita appears to me to be that of showing the most excellent way to attain self-realization" and Gandhi writes that this can be achieved by selfless action—"By desireless action; by renouncing fruits of action; by dedicating all activities to God, i.e., by surrendering oneself to Him body and soul." Kamala Surayya

Kamala Surayya known as Madhavikutty born on March 31, 1934 in Punnayurkulam, a region in Malabar district, Kerala. She wrote numerous short stories and poems in both English and Malayalam. At a time when Indian woman poets were expected to write about the girlish teen relationships of love and fantasies, Kamala brought up a bold and courageous though inspiring the character of woman living in reality. Her writings mainly reflected a woman’s restictions in the Indian society, which was highly misunderstood by most Indian critics. She was greatly criticised for her open-minded and straight forward nature, which reflected in her books.

But all controversies did not break down the poetess nor her love for books. She boldly faced false gossips and lies spread by people about her and became more successfulThe woman who called herself the Radha of Lord Krishna, his devotee and best friend, suprisingly converted herself into Islam in 1999. This led to more controversies. But she lived her life as Kamala Suraiyya till May 31, 2009. On 31 May 2009, aged 75, she died at a hospital in Pune. Her body was flown to her home state of Kerala. Thousands lined the route of the funeral procession from Kochi to Trivandrum, throwing flowers on the hearse. Her funeral, at Palayam Mosque in central Thiruvanathapuram, saw an unprecedented coming together of all faiths on the welcoming grounds of the Mosque to honour Kamala. She was buried in a grove on the Mosque grounds.Two trees were planted either side of the grave by her youngest son.

This is a continuity to my last post, this post is all about Top 10 Effects of smoking. I know All smokers are fully aware of the devastating effects that smoking has on the body. Yet again, this list is not designed to scare all the smokers out there, although it just might.This list does not include the most common cigarette smoking effects on the body such as lung cancer, heart disease and the many others. These are added bonuses you can expect if you smoke. Most smokers don't think they will contract these diseases
1.The smokers cough::. If you have smoked for any length of time you will have the smokers cough. You may think this is an inconvenience if your a smoker, and most smokers try to hide it. This cough is actually your body trying to get rid of the poisonous fumes you are inhaling on a daily basis. It is the sound of your lungs expelling all the chemicals in tobacco smoke. This is a good thing for your body all though you may not think so.
2. Stained teeth. After smoking for a long perode you will get yellow stained teeth. Sure, you can go and get your teeth whitened, but sooner or later the stains will be back if you continue to smoke.
3. Yellow fingers::. This is basically the same problem as stained teeth. If you smoke roll ups this problem will be even worse. No amount of scrubbing will get rid of it, the only solution is to stop using the same finger.
4. Shortness of breath::. Your lung capacity will be reduced by smoking. You can find out that You could not hold your breath for very long. You then get a read out that you have the lungs of a 50 year old, and your only 30.
5. Circulation problems::. Smoking blocks arteries and reduces blood flow. You will always seemed to feel the cold, especially in your feet.That is, If you get into a hot bath when your feet is cold it will cause a lot of pain. Smoking can also lead to varicose veins and impotence.
6. Grey complexion::. You can tell a heavy smoker from the way their skin looks. They look grey and paler than non smokers. Smoking makes your skin age quicker. You may not think this is a problem when you are young, but you will see the effects of cigarette smoking when you get older. You are starving your skin of essential nutrients.
7. Lack of energy::. The reason is that when you smoke you are starving your body of oxygen, and this leads to a lack of energy.
8. Dry mouth. You will wake up in the morning with a mouth that felt like sandpaper. You just get used to this effect, and it gets worse the longer you smoke. It makes your breath smell and you don't even care.
9. Taste and smell. When you smoke you gradually lose the ability to smell things properly and your taste buds don't work like they used to.
10. Dizzy spells. If you get out of the bath too quickly you will get funny bright lights in your head, and it affects some smokers more than others. Most people will get dizzy spells if they sit upright quickly, but a smoker will feel more dizzy because they have less oxygen in their bodies.

And I know most of them are well known about the side effects of this, again they are….I don’t know why, and these days I can find out ,more new comers are joining this team.The increase in use of tobacco products such as pan masala among teenagers is alarming Teenagers start using tobacco products mainly for fun and `recognition.' Then they become addicts.
Nearly a third of all cancers can be attributed to use of pan masala. India has one of the highest rates of oral cancer in the world. These rates are steadily increasing and oral cancer is detected more frequently among the youth.
The problems caused by consumption of pan masala are manifold. These include loss of ability to communicate and poor functioning of the nervous system. Lifelong addiction is another problem. The acute and chronic oral toxicity of pan masala (betel quid without betel leaf) was assessed in gavage studies in rats. The results indicate that chronic feeding of pan masala impaired liver function, as indicated by changes in enzyme activity, and decreased relative weights of the gonads and brain
The habit of chewing pan masala not only poses a serious health hazard for the individual, but it poses a problem to society at large. Public places defaced with the red spittle are something we should be ashamed of.
Strict laws are necessary to arrest the growth of pan masala culture among the youth. Mere statutory warning is not enough. The warning `selling tobacco products to those below 18 is punishable' is displayed at shops. These, however, serve as indirect advertisement that pan masala is available there. So The Government should enact new laws to regulate companies that promote the sale of pan masalas. It can also ban such products as they pose a threat to the lives of people.

A university teacher from a poor background, Ahmadinejad joined the Office for Strengthening Unity after the Islamic Revolution. Appointed a provincial governor, he lost favour and returned to teaching.Tehran's council appointed him mayor in 2003. He took a religious hard-line, reversing reforms of previous moderate mayors. His 2005 presidential campaign, supported by the Alliance of Builders of Islamic Iran, promised oil money to the poor, with the slogan "It's possible and we can do it". With 62% of the runoff election votes, he became President on 3 August 2005.

Tribute to Panakkad Shihab Thangal

Panakkad Syed Mohammedali Shihab Thangal(73), the spiritual leader of a major section of Kerala Muslims and the unquestioned leader of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), is no more with us. The death was due to Cardiac Arrest. The body was buried at the Panakkad Juma Masjid on 2nd August 2009.
Shihab Thangal was born on May 4th, 1936 as the eldest son of Panakkad Syed Ahmed Pookoya Thangal, who was a renowned Islamic leader of Kerala. He had his primary education at the M.M. High School, Calicut. He continued his religious education at Thalakkadathur and Kananchery Dars under Ponmala Moideen Musliar. In 1958, he left for Egypt for further studies and obtained his master's degree in Arabic Literature from Al Azhar University in 1961. He continued his studies in Cairo University and pursued a Doctorate in Arabic Literature in 1966. After spending about eight years in Egypt he returned home in 1966.
In 1967, Thangal married Shareefa Fathima Beevi, daughter of Syed Abdur Rahman Bafaqui Thangal, one of the founder leaders of the Muslim League. After her death in 2006, he married Aysha Beevi. Thangal had four younger brothers Sayed Umarali Shihab Thangal, Sayed Hyderali Shihab Thangal, Sayed Sadiqali Shihab Thangal, Sayed Abbasali Shihab Thangal.
Thangal, who succeeded his father Panakkad Pookoya Thangal as IUML state president in 1975, had been a key factor of the Congress-led UDF coalition in the state. Despite being a powerful political figure, thangal had kept away from electoral contests and never occupied any government positions. Thangal was offered jobs in Saudi Airlines and the Egyptian Embassy, he chose to work for the people of Kerala, especially for the social and educational advancement of his community.

Hi Friends , Today I am going to post some interesting facts and biography about one of my favorite actor more over I would like to call him Mr.Funny, Rowan Atkinson, I know you should remember him when I say his famous character role ‘Mr.Bean’.
Rowan Sebastian Atkinson was born on the 6 January 1955 in Consett, County Durham, England. His parents were Eric Atkinson, a farmer and company director, and his wife Ella May (née Bainbridge), who married on 29 June 1945. He has two elder brothers, Rodney Atkinson, a eurosceptic economist who narrowly lost the United Kingdom Independence Party leadership election in 2000, and Rupert Atkinson.
Atkinson was raised Anglican. He was educated at Durham Choristers School, followed by St Bees School, and studied electrical engineering at Newcastle University.He continued with an MSc at The Queen's College, Oxford, first achieving notice at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1976. At Oxford, he also acted and performed early sketches for the Oxford University Dramatic Society (OUDS), the Oxford Revue and the Experimental Theatre Club (ETC), meeting writer Richard Curtis and composer Howard Goodall, with whom he would continue to collaborate during his career.
After going to university, Atkinson toured with Angus Deayton as his straight man in an act that was eventually filmed for a television show. After the success of the show, he did a one-off pilot for ITV in 1976 called Canned Laughter. Atkinson then went on to do Not the Nine O'Clock News, produced by his friend John Lloyd. The character of Mr. Bean has been likened somewhat to a modern-day Charlie Chaplin. During this time, Atkinson appeared at the Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal in 1987 and 1989. Several sequels to Mr. Bean appeared on television in the 1990s, and it eventually made into a major motion picture in 1997. Entitled Bean, it was directed by Mel Smith, his former co-star from Not the Nine O'Clock News. A second movie was released in 2007 entitled Mr. Bean's Holiday.
Atkinson's film career began in 1983 with a supporting part in the James Bond movie Never Say Never Again and a leading role in Dead on Time with Nigel Hawthorne. He appeared in former Not the Nine O'Clock News co-star Mel Smith's directorial debut The Tall Guy in 1989. According to reports, on April 24, Kalam was subjected to a search and even asked to take his shoes off by the airline staff just as he was about to board the aircraft; he was made to stand in line with other passengers. AVIAL-The Rock Band of Kerala

AVIAL "Politically-aware and ideologically driven", that’s how Rave, one of India’s top music magazines, described Malayali rock band Avial in its October 2006 issue.

Avial depicts the social scene of Kerala and the common man residing there about a hundred years back. The plight of farmers whose hard-earned crop was seized by the local landlords is clearly portrayed. The music also consists of folk songs that were predominantly sung by the workers in the paddy fields. This unlike the other majority of the conventional rock bands, is a new trend.
Avial has devised its own flavour of music, which the band members refer to as "Alternative Malayali Rock", that reflects the one of a kind heritage of Kerala life. Malayalam lyrics are used in their rock songs so perfectly that it hardly ever sounds awkward. The band's maiden album has excellent instrumental play, brilliant singing, and lyrics which are beautiful and poignant at the same time. The album received generally positive response from rock enthusiasts in India, especially the youth.
So far they have been doing mostly live shows. Most of the performances were in major cities like Cochin (Ernakulam), Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi and so on. Shows were also held internationally in places like Dubai and Mauritius. They are honored to have performed at the Sakifo (Reunion) World Music Festival held in Mauritius that brought together 40 rock bands from across the world. Avial were the lone band to be selected from India to represent the country in the festival. The experience was special since the crowd was multinational, mostly French. Impressed with their music, the popular Italian band “A 67” approached them to be a part of one of their forthcoming album, ‘Suburb’, its one song collaboration.
Popular record label Phat Phish Records along with renowned musician AR Rahman were hosting a reality show for rock bands. Avial were invited to perform at their opening press meet. And during the press meet, Rahman singled out the band and expressed his interest in their unique style of music that blended folklore and urban rock sensibly. The “Rock On” humanity concert was indeed a great experience for the band. The concert was primarily a fund-raiser for the victims affected by the Bihar floods. Farhan Akhtar, known director-actor in the Hindi film industry spearheaded the concert. Avial was the only band to be invited from Kerala.
At the Jack Daniels Annual Rock Awards 08-09, Avial walked away the winner bagging six awards – Song of the year, Album of the year and Band of the year in both the popular choice and critics award categories.

Prophet Muhammed in Hindu Scriptures

The Last Kalki Autar (Messenger) that the Veda has foretold and who is waited on by Hindus is the Prophet Muhammed ibn Abdullah (saw)
A recently published book in Hindi has raised a lot of hue and cry all over India. In the event of the author being Muslim, he would have been jailed AND a strict ban would have certainly been imposed on the printing and the publishing of the book.
The author of this important research work "Kalki Autar" i.e. "Guide and Prophet of whole universe" comes of a Bengali race and holds an important portfolio at Ilahabad University. Pundit Vaid Parkash is a Brahman Hindu and a well known Sanskrit scholar and research workder.
Pundit Vaid Parkash, after a great deal of toil and hard-work, presented the work to as many as eight great Pundits who are themselves very well known in the field of research in India, and are amongst the learned religious leaders. Their Pundits, after thorough study of the book, have acknowledged this to be true and authentic research work.
Important religious books of India mention the guide and prophet by the specific name of "Kalki Autar" it denotes the great man Muhammed (saw) who was born in Makkah. Hence, all Hindus where-ever they may be, should wait no longer for any other 'kalik autar' but to embrace Islam and follow in the footsteps of the last Messenger of Allah (swt) who was sent in the world about fourteen hundred years ago with a mission from Him and after accomplishing it has long ago departed this world. As an argument to prove the authenticity of his research, Pundit Vaid Parkash quotes from the Veda, a sacred book among Hindus:

1. Veda mentions that 'kalki autar' will be the last Messenger/Prophet of Bhagwan (Allah) to guide the whole world. Afer quoting this reference the Pundit Parkash says that this comes true only in the case of Muhammed (saw).

2. According to a prophecy of Hinduism, 'kalki autar' will be born in an island and that is the Arab territory which is known as 'jazeeratul Arab'.

3. In the 'sacred' book of Hindus the father's name of 'kalki autar' is mentioned as 'Vishnu Bhagat' and his mother's name as 'somanib'. In sanskrit, 'vishnu' stands for Allah (swt) and the literal meaning of 'bhagat' is slave.
'Vishnu Bhagat' therefore, in the Arabic language will mean Allah's slave (Abdullah). 'Somanib' in Sanskrit means peace and tranquilty which in arabic is denoted by the word 'Amina'. Whereas the last Messenger Muhammed's (saw) father and mother's names were Abdullah and Amina respectively.

4. In the big books of Hindus, it is mentioned that 'kalki autar' will live on olive and dates and he will be true to his words and honest. In this regard Pundit Parkash writes, "This is true and established only in the case of Muhammed (saw)".

5. Veda mentions that 'kalki autar' will be born in the respected and noble dynasty of his land. And this is also true as regards Muhammed (saw) as he was born in the respected tribe of Quraish who enjoyed great respect and high place in Makkah.

6. 'Kalki Autar' will be taught in the cave by Bhagwan through his own messenger. And it is very true in this matter. Muhammed (saw) was the only one person in Makkah who has taught by Allah's Messenger Gabriel in the cave of Hira.
7. It is written in the books which Hindus believe that Bhagwan will provide 'Kalki autar' with the fastest of a horse and with the help of which he will ride around the world and the seven skies/heavens. The riding on 'Buraq' and 'Meraj' by the Prophet Muhammed (saw) proves what?

8. It is also written in the Hindus' books that 'kalki autar' will be strengthened and heavily helped by Bhagwan. And we know this fact that Muhammed (saw) was aided and reinforced by Allah (swt) through His angels in the battle of Badr.

9. Hindus' books also mention that 'kalki autar' will be an expert in horse riding, arrow shooting, and swordsmanship. What Pundit Vaid Parkash comments in this regard is very important and worth attention and consideration. He writes that the age of horses, swords, and spears is long ago gone and now is the age of modern weapons like tanks, missiles, and guns, and therefore it will be unwise to wait for 'kalki autar' bearing sword and arrows or spears. In reality, the mention in our books of 'kalki autar' is clearly indicative of Muhammed (saw) who was given the heavenly book known as Al-Qur'an
